International Holiday Calendar

International Holiday Calendar 10.6.17.2.png

*October 9: Please note Columbus Day (Monday, October 9) is a federal holiday. While Ascent Global Logistics offices will be open normal business hours, CBP (U.S. Customs and Border Protection) and OGA (Other Government Agency) office closings could impact shipments.

Reminder: The Golden Week holiday, which will conclude this weekend, is expected to continue to impact Chinese transportation networks over the next few weeks as factories resume production and shipping. Combining this holiday with peak shipping season, congestion and space tightening is projected to continue. To alleviate space challenges, ocean and air cargo bookings should be secured as early as possible. Bookings should be placed at least three weeks in advance of the departure date, however, more than a month of lead time is suggested.
