Trucking Companies Boosted Hiring At Fastest Pace Since 2015

Carriers added 5,600 new trucking jobs last month, the largest increase since May 2015, according to the U.S. Department of Labor. Employment in the trucking industry totaled 1.47 million jobs, up nearly 18,700 jobs compared year-over-year. See more here.

US Truck Spot Rates Hit Second-Strongest Mark In Two Decades

With produce season appearing to have started early in 2018, rates on the spot and contract markets could increase double digits in certain shipping lanes in the near future. According to the DAT, the load-to-truck ratio for flatbeds hit a record high of almost 90-to-1 last week. See more here.
